Title:
ELECTRON EMISSION ELECTRODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3137961
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress evaporation in discharge and enhance resistance to ion sputtering by using electron emission material containing a first component of at least one element selected from Ba, St, and Ca, and a second component of at least one element selected from Ta, Zr, Nb, Ti, and Hf, and also containing oxynitride perovskite.
SOLUTION: A desirable element of a first component is Ba, and Ba is preferable to occupy 70-100 atomic percent of the first component. A desirable element of a second component is Ta, and Ta is preferable to occupy 70-100 atomic percent of the second component. When molar ratio of the first component is represented by X and that of the second component is represented by Y, based on the total amount of the first component and the second component, the relation of 0.8≤X/Y≤1.5 is preferable. When the first component is represented by MI, and the second component is represented by MII, oxynitride of the oxynitride perovskite preferably contains a MIMIIO2N type crystal. An electrode using this electron emission material has long life.
