Abstract:
To provide a light-source equipment for examining automatically the discharge lamp mounted in the light-source equipment whether it is appropriate discharge lamp or not and for controlling the lighting conditions and keeping the usage records only of the appropriate discharge lamps. The light-source equipment holds the discharge lamp with the base-holder to apply current to the discharge lamp. The base of the discharge lamp is composed of a big base element and a small nose element. The base element is a cylindrical pipe of large diameter, whose one edge is sealed with a disc. The small nose element is a pipe of small diameter, which is planted coaxially to the base element through the center of the disc. The lamp-data indicator on the base indicates the lamp data concerning to the discharge lamp. The lamp-holder has a reading device to read the lamp data on the lamp-data indicator.
