Abstract:
To provide a light source device for ink drying, capable of suppressing uneven drying of ink.SOLUTION: A light source device 100 for ink drying includes a halogen lamp 10 irradiating a medium carried in a predetermined carrying direction with light thereby to dry water-based ink landed on the medium. The halogen lamp 10 includes: an arc tube 11 including a filament arranged at the inside thereof, the arc tube being filled with halogen gas at the inside thereof; a coating layer 12 provided on a part of the outer wall of the arc tube and shifting the peak wavelength range of light irradiated with from the arc tube 11 to a long wavelength side with respect to the peak wavelength range of light irradiated with from the filament; and an opening 13 which is formed in a part of the outer wall of the arc tube 11 and in which the coating layer 12 is not provided. The opening 13 is formed within a range in which the opening angle with respect to the center of the tube axis of the arc tube 11 is 180 degrees or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
