To provide a light source module capable of enhancing coupling efficiency from a light source to a light guide plate and improving light utilization efficiency, and to provide an electronic device equipped with the same.
The light source module is provided with a light guide plate 13, light sources (LED 23a, LED 23b) arranged at the lower side of the light guide plate 13, a light coupling member 30 which is arranged between the light sources (LED 23a, LED 23b) and the light guide plate 13 and connects light so that the light from the light sources can be guided to the inside of the light guide plate, elastic members 25a, 25b made of an elastic material arranged at the lower side of the light sources (LED 23a, 23b), and a light source holding member 21 arranged at the lower side of the elastic members 25a, 25b. The light coupling member 30 has a top part flat face 31 for making surface-contact with the lower surface of the light guide plate 13, and the lower face of the light guide plate 13 contacts with the top part flat face 31 as they receive a stress from the elastic members 25a, 25b given in an opposing direction of the lower face of the light guide plate 13 and the top part flat face 31.
