Title:
LIGHT TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR TRAIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003146215
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To enable easy image transmission to a train and secure back-up even if a light emitting element constituting a light sending apparatus fails.

ITV cameras 21a to 21c are mounted on a platform 1 to take a picture of all the doors on the platform side of a train 3. An image signal taken by the ITV cameras 21a to 21c is FM-modulated and input to a light sending apparatus driving device 24. The light sending apparatus driving device 24 is provided at the start of a platform fence 25, and a light sending apparatus 26 is laterally provided on the side opposing the train 3. The light sending apparatus 26 is constituted by plural systems of light emitting elements so that, when the light emitting element of one system fails, the light emitting element of another system can back up. Outside the head of the train 3, a light receiving part 31 is arranged so that it opposes the light sending device 26 when the train 3 stops at a predetermined position of the platform 1. A light beam 27 from the light sending device 26 is received by the light receiving part 31, converted to a high-frequency wave signal, demodulated and displayed on a monitor device 34.
