Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighted rotary variable resistor having a good attaching workability of an LED and sliders for the LED and having a stable quality, with respect to the lighted rotary variable resistor used in vehicle-mounted air conditioners and AV appliances, etc.
SOLUTION: In the lighted rotary variable resistor, a surface-mounted type LED 31 is so fitted into the lower end of a through hole 26C for the LED 31 which is provided in the radial wall-thickness of a cylindrical operational portion 26A of an operational shaft 26 in the state of vertical piercing, and is so caulked fixedly by crashing protrusions 26D of a flange portion 26B as to have respectively contact portions 28A, 29A for the LED 31 which contact elastically sliders 28, 29 for its anode and cathode with its anode-electrode and cathode-electrode portions 31A, 31B and as to have respectively contact portions 28B, 29B for conductive films 23 which contact elastically and slipperily with the conductive films 23 (23A, 23B) for the LED 31 and provided on an insulation board 22. Since the pre-works for cutting the terminals of the LED 31, etc. are made unnecessary and the mountings of the LED 31 and the sliders for the LED 31 are facilitated, the lighted rotary variable resistor having a stable quality is obtained by making possible the decrease of the manhours of its assembling work.
