Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of suppressing excessive overvoltage protection.SOLUTION: A control device 40 receives a voltage detected by a voltage-dividing circuit consisting of resistors 51 and 52. An output voltage Vof a buck converter circuit 3 is detected on the basis of the voltage. The control device 40 executes first overvoltage protection processing on the basis of the detected output voltage V, and performs overvoltage protection control when applicable to a condition by which it is determined that protection is required. The first overvoltage protection processing is performed for overvoltage protection control in a case where the number of times of overvoltage reaches a first predetermined number N. The first predetermined number Nis preliminarily set to a value larger than 1, and stored in a storage part 43. In the overvoltage protection control, the control device 40 maintains a switching element Q2 in a stop state to completely stop the buck converter circuit 3.
