To improve noise performance as compared with a conventional case while improving luminous efficiency and thinning.
The lighting fixture 1 includes a lighting device 3 for lighting a planar lamp 2, a fixture body 4, lamp wires 5a, 5b and a power source wire 6. The planar lamp 2 includes electrodes (not shown) at both end parts of a discharge path 21 and is formed so as the discharge path 21 to be curved and close between both end parts in the same plane. The fixture body 4 supports the planar lamp 2, is provided in penetration with an insertion port 42 at a position facing a center part of the planar lamp 2 along an up-down direction, and retains the lighting device 3 in a projection surface of the planar lamp 2 except the insertion port 42. Lamp wires 5a, 5b electrically connect the electrodes with output terminals 33a, 33b of the lighting device 3, respectively. The power source wire 6 is inserted from the insertion port 42, and electrically connects the outer power source (not shown) and an input terminal 32 of the lighting device 3. The lamp wires 5a, 5b and the power source wire 6 are arranged without crossing each other when viewed from an up-and-down direction.
