Abstract:
To provide a lighting fixture which can be adopted for a variety of purposes by changing light diffusibility and light permeability as appropriate by a single illumination cover, which does not require mechanical drive of a divided shade nor turning on/off of a power source of a light emitting source (referred to as a lamp hereinafter) such as a light bulb, and which can produce a decorative effect by illumination of a colorful and active display operation.SOLUTION: A lighting fixture includes a light emitting source and an illumination cover for covering at least part of the light emitting source. On an illumination cover wall surface, a light control film is arranged in which a light control layer is held between transparent base materials where a transparent electrode is formed. The light control layer is selected from optical elements capable of switching light transmissivity at two stages or more according to an applied voltage. The lighting fixture includes control means for driving and controlling the light control layer, and modulating light radiated from the light emitting source. The light control layer may have a structure which is divided into regions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
