To provide a paperweight which is lightweight not only at home but also for carrying it to a library, a working place and a school, has a simple structure, can hold pages of various large and small books under an opened state, and has high convenience.

The lightweight foldable paperweight comprises at least one first arm, at least one second arm, and at least one arm for connection assembled as a linking mechanism, and is characterized in that a supporting shaft provided on one end of the second arm is pivoted in a long hole for sliding formed in the longitudinal direction on a body part of the first arm so as to be freely slidable and rotatable, one supporting shaft provided on both ends of the arm for connection is pivoted on the end part of the first arm, and the other supporting shaft is pivoted so as to be freely rotatable in a hole provided in the middle of the second arm, and the angle of opening between the first arm and the second arm is made smaller than 180° by the arm for connection.
