To provide a fireplace, which is made attractive as a fireplace peculiar to Japanese culture by installing a light incombustible heat insulating material 10 and a fire-resisting foaming solid heat insulating base plate 2 provided with a plurality of spit insert holes on the top thereof in the inside of the fireplace, coping with combustion fire heat of charcoal fire 5, preventing the falling of the spits (food material), and achieving lowering of the floor along with reduction in weight of the fireplace.
In order to reduce the weight of the whole fireplace and easily move it, the light incombustible heat insulating material 10 and the fire-resisting foaming solid heat insulating base plate 2 are installed in the inside of a furnace box to reduce the weight, and moving casters 16 are fitted. The plurality of spit insert holes are provided on the top of the fire-resisting foaming solid heat insulating base plate 2 to receive the spits (food material) 7. As to the appearance of the fireplace, basically only a furnace edge 1, surface layer ash 4 and charcoal fire 5 are seen. As combustion fire heat preventive measures for the charcoal fire 5, upward radiating and insulating heat is performed mainly by the fire-resisting foaming solid heat insulating base plate 2, and the light incombustible heat insulating material 10 is provided right under it to thereby intercept downward permeating heat. As described above, the inside of the furnace box is formed of light component material to hold down the weight and height.
