To provide superior rolling resistance by falling a height close to a sidewall base reference line of a ply winding end at its upper end and that of a bead filler at its upper end in a specific tire cross section height range, and by extending the height close to a reference line of an organic fiber slanted cord layer at its upper end as far as a position of the specific tire cross section height range.
A tapered bead filler 9 of hard rubber close to above a bead ring 8 is placed between a ply winding 4' and a carcass 4. One organic fiber slanted cord layer 10 is juxaposed with the ply winding end 4' at its axial outside for reinforcement. A height Hp and a height Hb close to a sidewall base reference line j of the ply winding end 4' at its upper end Tp and the bead filler 9 at its upper end Tb fall in a range of 15-35% tire cross section height Ht. Meanwhile, height Hr close to the sidewall base reference line j of the organic fiber slanted cord layer 10 at its upper end Tr further exceeds both upper ends as far as a position of 50-75% the tire cross section height Ht. Thus, superior rolling resistance performance is retained.
