Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the water resistance, shelf life, and handleability by mixing a lime powder ground to a particle size in an appropriate range with an aqueous solution of a specified higher fatty acid (metal salt thereof), followed by filtration, drying, and grinding.
CONSTITUTION: A lime powder ground to a particle size in an appropriate range is mixed with an aqueous solution containing 0.1-2.0% of at least one higher fatty acid (metal salt thereof) selected from stearic acid, calcium stearate, sodium strearate, oleic acid, and sodium oleate, and the mixture is filtered, dried, and ground.
