PURPOSE: To automate setting and opening of a route by providing a central management device to a private line connection system setting a private line for only a reserved time zone so as to generate route information automatically.

CONSTITUTION: When a line setting time and a line opening time are inputted to a communication equipment 5 of a connection source and a connection destination respectively to a central management equipment 1 by a key board, the management equipment 1 references data representing system configuration stored in advance such as a line speed of each equipment 5 and line connection configuration between line changeover devices 2. Furthermore, the equipment 1 references operating state management data at a time slot and a multi-time slot of each line to generate automatically relevant route information. The information is stored as a record, and the setting time and the opening time of each record are monitored, and the route information of the record at the setting time is sent to the relevant line changeover device 2 to set the roue. Then at the opening time, the route is similarly opened. Thus, the route is set and opened automatically.
