Abstract:

PURPOSE: To back up a network management function even during line backup.

CONSTITUTION: A management equipment side interface section 5 connecting to a network management equipment, a DCE side interface section 6 connecting to a management function interface of a line terminator for an exclusive line with the network management function, and a signal multiplexer section 9 multiplexing and distributing and outputting a digital data signal and a digital control signal from a DTE 20, a network management equipment 40, and an ISDN interface section 8 according to control of a control section 7 are added to the system and connected to a changeover section 3. Data communication and backup of a network management function are implemented via an ISDN at a fault of the exclusive line.
