Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line laying checking device/method with can shorten the time needed for checking failures and also to reduce load of a checking operator.
SOLUTION: This device includes an image input device 5, which moves back and forth in response to many coordinate positions set on the X-Y tables 2 which are set vertically and horizontally on a plane in parallel to each other and inputs the image of a checked part set on a color PDP board B corresponding to the coordinate moving positions, an image processor 6 which processes the image signals received from the device 5 and detects the continuous and discontinuous parts and a failure position specification part 7a, which specifies a failure area of the checked part corresponding to the discontinuous part detected by the processor 6, based on the coordinate positions of the device 5 set on the tables 2.
