PURPOSE: To change the part line-up direction by putting parts one after another into tooth profile recesses of a turning sprocket provided with teeth each of which is suitable in shape to accommodate one part.

CONSTITUTION: As a screw rotates, cups 1 are lined in a row side by side between guides 6 and 7 and are carried upward until they hit the tooth face 19 of a sprocket 11. When force FF, which is generated by rotation of the screw and contributes to drive the cup 1 forward further, acts on the cup 1, the sprocket 11 is rotated clockwise inevitably because the line of action of force F deviates by distance l from the central axis 13 of the sprocket 11. Owing to this rotation, a cup 1-A located between teeth 20 of the sproket 11 moves while being held between the tooth 20 of the turning sproket 11 and an outer ring 12. Then the cup 1-A is discharged from an outlet 15, which has been formed by cutting the outer ring along a tangential line to the circle of sprocket 11, after changing the lineup direction of the cup 1-A.
