Abstract:
To provide a linear actuator that is able to highly accurately detect an actuating position of a movable element.SOLUTION: A linear reactor includes: an annular stator As; a plurality of annular coils 12 supported on an inner periphery of the stator As; a movable element Am being disposed on an inner side of the plurality of coils 12 and having a plurality of permanent magnets 22 on an outer periphery thereof so as to be actuated in a direction along an axis by magnetic force when the coils 12 are energized; and magnetic detection elements 13 equal to the coils 12 in number, being arranged at positions overlapping the plurality of coils 12 as viewed from a radial direction, on an inner peripheral side of the plurality of coils 12, and at a position where a magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 22 can be detected; wherein on the basis of, detection signals of the plurality of magnetic detection elements 13, an area where the movable elements Am is present and an actuation position of the movable element Am in the area, are detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
