To feed a linear body continuously by arranging a plurality of coils in spectacle shape, connecting the end terminal of a first coil to the start terminal of a second coil, and feeding the linear body, delivered from the start terminal of the first coil, through a wheel movable in an upper opening part of an inclined elliptic hood.
A first coil A and a second coil B are arranged in spectacle shape. The end terminal of the first coil A and the start terminal of the second coil B are connected to each other, and a linear body W is fed from the start terminal of the first coil A to another device through an elliptic hood 1 formed of an inclined member 4 of oval cross section, and a movable wheel E for guiding the linear body W delivered from the coil. After feed of the linear body W of the first coil A is completed, a pallet P placing the first coil A is removed, and a pallet P with a new coil placed thereon is placed in that place, and its start terminal is connected to the end terminal of the second coil B. The linear body W can thereby be fed continuously.
