Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect the stroke of a piston and the top clearance of a linear compressor without using a position sensor in a linear compressor drive 101.
SOLUTION: In the linear compressor drive 101 equipped with an inverter 2 for supplying driving current with prescribed frequency to a linear compressor 100, there is provided an inverter controller 6 for controlling the inverter 2 so that the frequency of output current may be resonance frequency, based on resonance frequency information. The output current Id of the inverter 2 and the instantaneous value of output voltage Vd are measured in such a phase timing that a variation in the output current Id of the inverter 2 is zero, and the piston stroke is computed from these measurements.
