PURPOSE: To interpolate data of a multidimensional space fast linearly by providing linear interpolation parts of plural independent systems and a data replacement part which freely replaces inputted data of the multidimensional space.
CONSTITUTION: Four data data(0,0)-data(0,3) of a two-dimensional space of an orthogonal coordinate system are inputted to a data position exchange part 11. Those four data represent a 1st element among three elements representing natural colors like R, G, and B. The data position exchange part 11 is freely switched according to a data position exchange control signal to exchange the inputted data. Outputted data A0-D0 are inputted to a linear interpolation part 12, linearly interpolated, and outputted as two-dimensional linearly interpolated data data0. Similarly, a 2nd element and a 3rd element among the three elements representing the natural colors are exchanged at data position exchange positions 13 and 15 respectively, linearly interpolated at linear interpolation parts 14 and 16, and outputted as two-dimensional linearly interpolated data data1 and data2.
