To make an armature movable with respect to a stator by making the armature of a linear motor movable to the stator via fixing parts arranged in parallel.
A linear motor is provided with a stator 1, an armature 2 and two plate spring 3 serving as the fixing part for the armature. The armature 2 has a core 10, a side wall 11, a coil 12, and a coil main body 9 provided with a first connection part member 13 and a second connection part member 14. The side wall is formed of nonferromagnetic material like plastics. The armature 2 is fixed to a link 15 of the stator 1. Guide parts 16 are arranged on the respective levers. As a result, during operation, the armature 2 is guided without generating gaps to the plates of the stator which stretches in parallel with each other. The spring is given in order to return the motor position to an initial state for a motor, in which the switch of the armature 2 is cut off or polarity becomes opposite. Braking through soft abutment is conducted by an elastic part member 18.
