PURPOSE: To easily insert the lining material concerned in existing tube and, at the same time, form thermoplastic resin tube with uniform wall thickness in the existing tube.
CONSTITUTION: Flat sheet-like lining material, 1, the sectional outer peripheral length of which is about 80-99% of the inner peripheral length of existing tube and which has hollow part, is stored under the state being folded without excess tractive tension applied. After the folded lining material 4 is drawn to the neighborhood of the existing tube 30 under the state being thermally softened, by supplying heating fluid in the hollow part 2, the lining material is pulled and inserted along the whole length of the existing tube 30. After the insertion of the lining material 1 along the whole length of the existing tube 30, by rising the pressure of the heating fluid fed in the hollow part 2 of the lining material 1, the lining material is expanded, resulting in being lined to the inner surface of the existing tube.
