PURPOSE: To absorb a load when a bending load or twisting load is applied to a body by linking the respective brackets of a sunroof wherein a slider is linked to a movable body via a damper absorbing a load in a moving direction applying to the slider from the movable body.
CONSTITUTION: A driving shaft 22 is formed by a screw shaft and is threadedly engaged with a slider 25. When the slider 25 is driven by a motor to make a movable roof into a closed or opened condition, the movable roof or a movable body 16 abuts on a body side or a member fixed to the body side to apply a load in a fore and aft direction to the movable body 16. When a load in a fore and aft direction is applied to the movable roof and the movable body 16 due to a load from a body in the closed condition of the movable roof, a damper 39 is elastically deformed to absorb a load applied to the slider 25 side from the movable body 16 side to make the load be untransmitted to a motor. The breakage of a bracket linking the movable body 16 and the slider 25 and the fitting bolt of the bracket or the slider, etc., is eliminated.
