Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous viscous formulation of a metal chelate compound having an N-(6,8-dimercaptooctanoyl) group, which generates no precipitate (suspension) during storage, keeps viscosity, hardly causes liquid dripping, and has refreshing feeling or cool feeling.SOLUTION: An aqueous viscous formulation for external use comprises at least one zinc chelate compound selected from N-(6,8-dimercaptooctanoyl) histidine sodium/zinc chelate compounds, N-(6,8-dimercaptooctanoyl) aminoethanesulfonic acid sodium/zinc chelate compounds and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, a carboxyvinyl polymer and an alcohol, and has a pH of 7.5 to 10. The content of the zinc chelate compound is 0.1 to 10 mass%, the content of the carboxyvinyl polymer is 0.1 to 10 mass%, the content of the alcohol is 0.1 to 30 mass%, and no precipitate is caused after 2 weeks under the conditions of 40°C and 75%RH.
