Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a lipolysis promoter containing a specific phthalazine derivative (salt) as an active ingredient, effective in suppression and prevention of obesity, improvement of pyknic habit and reduction of weight of local or whole body fat tissue.
CONSTITUTION: This promoter contains (A) a phthalazine derivative (salt) of the formula [R1 is H or 1-10C alkyl; R2 is a 1-4C alkyl which may have one or two OH groups; X is O or NR3 (R3 is a 1-4C alkyl which may have one or two OH groups] and as necessary, further, (B) one or more kinds of substances selected from a xanthine derivative, a β-adrenergic stimulant, an α2-adrenergic stimulant and a bipyrizine derivative. Furthermore, the preferable examples of the component A include 4-ethyl-1-(β-hydoxyethylamino)phthalazine(hydrochlide).
