Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the title new compound useful as a precursor giving excellent catalytic effects with its on-site transformation in hydrogenolysis to convert a hydrocarbon stock to a product of lower molecular weight.
CONSTITUTION: The objective compound of formula I (R1 is 10-46C aliphatic hydrocarbon; R2 and R3 are each H or 1-46C aliphatic hydrocarbon; A is heteropolyanion containing at least one molybdenum as polyatom; x is 3-14; y is 0-11), e.g. a compound of formula II. The present compound can be obtained, for example, by reaction between an aliphatic amine of formula III or its salt and a heteropolyacid of formula HxA or its metal salt in a hydrocarbon solvent like benzene in the presence, if needed, of a surfactant such as a naphthenate.
