To suppress the quantity of liquid chemicals which are adhered to a sole to be taken-out by forming the mat main body of a liquid chemical mat which is arranged in the entrance of a food factory, etc., for sterilizing the sole, etc., and preventing bacterial from being brought-in by means of a sponge structure body consisting of a cellulose and impregnating the liquid chemicals into the mat main body.

A sterilizing mat being one kind of the liquid chamical mat is constituted by putting the sheet-shaped mat main body 1 in a recessed part 21 being open in the upper part of a mount 2. In this case, the mat main body 1 is formed by the sponge structure body consisting of the cellulose and a sterilizing liquid is impregnated in the voids of the sponge structure body. Thus, the mat main body 1 is formed by the cellulose sponge, the front surface of the mat main body 1 is made to be the surface of the sterilizing liquid as the hydrophilic property of the cellulose is high. When a part of the mat main body 1 is stepped by a shoe, for example, and the part is compressed downward, the sole is brought into contact with the surface of the mat main body 1 and directly brought into contact with the sterilizing liquid and, then, sterilization is executed.
