Title:
LIQUID-COOLED CATHODE RAY TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6020430
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To protect a bulb from breakdown due to thermal stress by securing a heat-conductive bracket having the tip extending forward from the outer face of a phosphor screen panel to the outercircumferential section at the phosphor screen panel side then securing a front face panel glass for forming an enclosed chamber to said bracket.

CONSTITUTION: A heat-conductive bracket 13 made of aluminium to be used as a heat sink is secured through adhesives 14 to the outercircumference at the phosphor screen panel side of a cathode ray tube 7. The bracket 13 has the tip extending forward from the outer face of phosphor screen panel to secure the front face panel glass 8 through adhesives 15. Consequently, an enclosed chamber is formed between the outer face of phosphor screen panel and the front face panel glass 8 to be encapsulated with transparent refrigerant such as ethylene glycol which will cause convection easily. Consequently, a wide flow path is provided to correspond with convection, to increase the cooling efficiency, to increase the amount of refrigerant, to increase margin of evaporation life and to improve the cooling performance considerably.
