Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the cooling effect of a liquid-cooled projection type cathode-ray tube by arranging a thin slit type or a meshed heat radiation chips in refrigerant between a face panel and a front panel and securing them to a circumferential section radiator.

CONSTITUTION: A face panel 6 and a front panel 2 are adhered through adhesive 4 to a circumferential section radiator 3 then filled with refrigerant 5, thus constructing a liquid-cooled projection type cathode-ray tube 1. Here a slit chip 7 made of metal having high heat conductivity such as aluminum, made into a thin structure having low light shielding effect, is secured to the circumferential section radiator 3 and arranged in the refrigerant 5. Heat produced from the face plate 6 is conducted effectively to said radiator 3. Consequently, the radiation effect of a cathode-ray tube 1 can be improved without influence onto the projecting light, resulting in improvement of reliability and light emission efficiency.
