A stepped part 8b is formed in the direction toward the inner surface 7a of a scraper body 7 from the inner peripheral edge 9a of an insertion hole 9 in the boundary between two-divided scraper piece segments 8a in the surface of a scraper piece 8. Accordingly, air within the scraper 6 inside an applicator container body 2 can be smoothly discharged through an air channel 14 formed by a side surface 11 of a fixed shaft 11 and the stepped part 8b on the surface of the scraper piece 8, and therefore, compression air is not generated when the applicator 12 is stored. With this structure, the pump-up phenomenon and ejection of the liquid cosmetic material can be prevented, and the shape of the scraper can be simplified so that the scraper can be easily and inexpensively manufactured.
