Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal alignment agent for optical alignment that forms a liquid crystal alignment film having high adhesive strength to a sealant and forms a liquid crystal alignment film that provides a liquid crystal display having high display quality.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid crystal alignment agent for optical alignment that contains at least one of a polyamic acid that is a reaction product from a raw material monomer containing tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and diamine and a derivative thereof, the liquid crystal alignment agent for optical alignment including a polymer (H) having a weight average molecular weight of 12,000 or less that is a reaction product from a raw material monomer including at least one of the compounds having a photoreactive structure and including at least one of the predetermined compounds.SELECTED DRAWING: None
