To provide a liquid crystal charging device which efficiently removes dissolved gas stuck to liquid crystal 2 without taking time at the time of charging the liquid crystal 2 to a liquid crystal display element 1.
The liquid crystal charging device which charges the liquid crystal 2 into the liquid crystal display element 1 through a liquid crystal charging port 3 is provided with a liquid crystal charging route which reaches a liquid crystal recovery vessel 7 for recovery of surplus liquid crystal from a liquid crystal storage vessel 5 for storage of the liquid crystal 2 through a connection jig 4 attached to the liquid crystal charging port 3, a decompression route which reduces pressure in the liquid crystal charging route, a gas supply route which supplies dry gas into the liquid crystal storage vessel 5, and a defoaming means which defoams the liquid crystal 2 stored in the liquid crystal storage vessel 5 by supply of dry gas, and a drier 6 which generates the dry gas is arranged in the gas supply route.
