Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve reliability for a liquid crystal device by enabling the terminal of a flexible wiring board to be thermal-pressed to stick on a printed board with a uniform pressing force by always providing a wiring pattern and a silk print pattern at the back side of the terminal part of the printed board.
CONSTITUTION: The flexible wiring board on which a driving circuit consisting of a semiconductor chip for driving is loaded, is connected to the peripheral part of a display device, and also, the flexible wiring board supplies a control signal and a power source to the driving circuit by connecting to the printed board 4. In such a case, the terminal 5 is provided at a surface part, and the wiring pattern 6 and the silk print pattern 8 on the back plane part of the multilayer printed board 4, and it is constituted so as to always keep the thickness of the terminal 5 part constant. Also, the terminal 7 of the flexible wiring board is connected to the terminal 5 of the printed board 4 via soldering 10. Such soldering 10 is performed by thermal-pressing to stick solder adhered on one or both sides of the terminal 7 and the terminal 5 by a heating head.
