Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems associated with a block line sequential driving system liquid crystal display device which normally requires an external control signal generating circuit to control a gate side peripheral driving circuit and the like and has difficulties in dealing with digital I/F signals.
SOLUTION: A display portion is divided into a plurality of blocks BLCK. Drain lines included in each BLCK are connected to analog signal voltage common lines 109 (D1, D2,..., Dp) through analog sampling switches sw1, sw2,..., swp. A liquid crystal display driver 107 which incorporates a control signal generating circuit outputs, to the lines 109, analog signal voltages that are made to correspond to display data of each BLCK from an inputted gradation reference voltage 111 and digital I/F signals 110.
