Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sharpness of an animation image displayed on a liquid crystal display.
SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a delayed frame forming section which stores the input frame of an input video for one frame period, a conversion data storage section which stores the conversion data to be referenced at the time of forming a first display frame and a second display frame, a display frame forming section which forms the first display frame and the second display frame from the gradation data of the input frame and the gradation data of the delayed frame, a memory for the display frames which stores the formed first display frame and second display frame, a liquid crystal display section which displays the formed first display frame and second display frame and a display control section. The display control section is adapted to read out the first display frame and second display frame stored into the memory for the display frames and to output the display frames at a refresh rate of twice that of the input video to the liquid crystal display section.
