Abstract:
To provide the liquid crystal display device with excellent visibility.
This liquid crystal display device consists of a light source 13 which can be turned on and off, a light guide plate 11 which is arranged on the rear side of a liquid crystal panel 17 and receives the light from the light source 13 on its flank, and a reflecting layer 15 which is formed on the reverse surface of the light guide plate 11. A groove part 21 and a flat part 23 are formed alternately on the reverse surface of the light guide plate 11 almost in parallel to the light source 13.
