To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving the display quality of a liquid crystal display element only by adjusting a frame frequency.

The liquid crystal display device comprises a matrix type liquid crystal display element 1, a driving means 2 of driving the liquid crystal display element 1, a back light 3 which lights up the liquid crystal display element 1, and a control means 4 of controlling the driving means 2 and back light 3, and is equipped with a CR oscillation means 5 provided to the driving means 2 and determining the frame frequency of the liquid crystal display element 1, and the CR oscillation means 5 determines the frame frequency of the liquid crystal display element by setting at least one of a resistance value and capacitor capacity, the difference between the value obtained by multiplying the frequency of the back light 3 by a coefficient N (N: one of 1/2, 2/2, 3/2, 4/2, 1/3, and 2/3) and the frame frequency being larger than 30 Hz.
