Title:
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2973288
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a characteristic change due to light irradiation without injuring a characteristic eliminating a black matrix by performing the lapping on one side substrate in the direction perpendicular to the prolonging direction of an upper side electrode of a non-linear element.
SOLUTION: The lapping direction is the direction perpendicular to sides (C-D and E=F) prescribed by the upper electrode 2 of the external size of the MIM type non-linear element 1. Thus, light advancing while receiving with a scattering and deflection in a liquid crystal element whose most of deflective direction are converged in the C-D direction immediately before an MIM substrate. On the other hand, the matter that the characteristic change of the MIM type non-linear element 1 due to the light irradiation occurs is caused by that the light is made incident on an intermediate insulation layer 3, and the light irradiated slopingly from above and below the A-B direction are made mostly incident on the intermediate insulation layer 3. The C-D direction that the deflection is converged is a horizontal deflective component related to the reflection of the MIM substrate surface of the light irradiated slopingly from above and below the A-B direction, and its reflectance is heightened compared with a vertical deflective component.
