Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make obtainable high quality picture display for display contents having suitable display characteristics within the same display surface by generating picture signals at an arbitrary time among time series picture signals using acquired motion vector information.
SOLUTION: The device has liquid crystal display elements, an acquisition means, which acquires motion vectors included in inputted time series picture signals, and a means which generates picture signals at an arbitrary time among the time series picture signals using acquired motion vector information. A motion vector generating circuit 2 generates motion vector information included in the inputted display pictures accumulated in a picture memory 1. A subframe generating circuit 3 doubles, for example, the frame frequency of the inputted picture signals by generating a subframe picture using the acquired motion vector information. A driving circuit 5 having an analog interface drives the liquid crystal display elements 4 by the obtained picture signals which are frequency-converted.
