PURPOSE: To improve the adhesion between a resin film and transparent electrode substrates by coating an aq. neutralized matter soln. consisting of a polyamic acid and amine functional silane coupling agent on the surfaces of the transparent electrode substrates in contact with a liquid crystal and drying the coated soln. thereby forming the film thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The aq. hydrolyzed matter soln. of the polyamic acid expressed by the formula (R1 denotes an arom. group such as benzene or biphenyl and alicyclic group such as cyclopentane) and amine functional silane coupling agent such as γ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane is prepd. Such aq. soln. is spin-coated on the surface of a pair of the glass substrates with transparent electrodes and is then heated and baked for 60min at 150°C. The resultant polyimide film is light brown and is formed uniformly over the entire surface. The respective transparent glass substrates are rubbed in a prescribed direction by cotton and thereafter the substrates are adhered by using an epoxy adhesive agent, by which the liquid crystal panel is manufactured.
