This liquid crystal display 15 is constituted, such that a liquid crystal layer is sealed by stucking a scanning substrate 7 in which a color filter 4, transparent electrode 5 and an oriented film 6 are successively laminated on a glass substrate 2, with a signal substrate 11 in which a transparent electrode 8, insulated film 16 and an oriented film 10 are successively laminated on a glass substrate 3, by means of a sealing member 12 containing a number of conductive grains. Then the transparent electrode 5 on the glass substrate 2 is extended to the sealing member 12, setting an energized state among the transparent electrode 5, sealing member 12 and an electrically conductive member 14, while the insulated film 16 is extended to the sealing member 12 along the oriented direction of the transparent electrode 8.
