Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease the liquid crystal liquid sticking to a liquid crystal display by providing the above connector with a sealing member formed with a stepped part by formation of a projecting part at one end projecting outside.
CONSTITUTION: The sealing member 40 is pressed downward via a connector body 30. As a result, the rear surface 41 of the sealing member 40 is pressed to the front surface 3a of a plate body 3 in tight contact therewith and the front end face 42a of the projecting part 42 is pressed to the front surface 2c of the extending part 2b of the plate body 2 in tight contact therewith. The projecting part 42 is crushed to bulge outward when the sealing member 40 is pressed downward. Consequently, the stepped surface 43 is pressed to the side face 3c of the plate body 3 and the outside surface of the adhesive in succession thereto in tight contact therewith. Particularly the stepped part 44 of the projecting part 42 and the outer peripheral surface on the side reverse therefrom are enclosed by a build-up part 32 and, therefore, the projecting part 42 tends to bulge only toward the stepped part 44 side. Then, the stepped surface 43 is more powerfully pressed in tight contact by the side face 3c and the outside surface of the adhesive. The stepped part 44 is pressed to the stepped part 6 in tight contact therewith in such a manner, by which the recessed part 46 is hermetically sealed against outside.
