PURPOSE: To provide a liquid detergent composition for washing body composed of a specified ratio of a specified fatty acid alkali metal salt, etc., a special amphoteric surfactant and a specified anionic surfactant, exhibiting a prescribed pH, free from a slimy touch after washing and excellent in foaming power, detergency, rinsing properties and hue stability.

CONSTITUTION: The composition contains (A) 10 to 30wt.% alkali metal salt or ammonium salt of a 10 to 22C fatty acid, (B) 1 to 10wt.% one ore two or more kinds of amphoteric surfactants selected from compounds represented by formulae I to IV [R1CO, R2CO and R6CO are each a 10 to 22C aliphatic acyl; M1 and M2 are each an alkali (alkaline earth) metal, etc.,; X1 is H or CH2COOM3 (M3 is M1); R3 is a 10 to 22C alkyl or an alkenyl; R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are each a 1 to 3C alkyl; n is 1 to 3] and (C) 1 to 10wt.% acylalkyltaurine salt type anionic surfactant expressed by formula V (R9CO is R1CO; R10 is R4; M4 is M1). The total amount of the components (A) to (C) is 15 to 50wt.% and 5wt.% aqueous solution of this composition exhibits pH6.5 to 10.0.
