PURPOSE: To improve dispersion stability, fixability, etc. and obtain always distinct images by forming the liquid defveloper for electrophotography through the use of the specific esterified copolymer (or its graft copolymer) as the resin to be used for the composition of the toner.
CONSTITUTION: The esterified copolymer (a) obtained through esterification of the monomer shown by formula I and glycidyl-contained monomer by carboxylic acid (anhydride) or the graft copolymer or (b) obtained through grafting of the monomer shown by formula II in the abovementioned copolymer a is used. About 0.1 to 10 pts.wt. of pigments (dyes) are dispersed to 1 pt.wt. of a nonaqueous resin dispersion containing the abovementioned copolymer (a or b) at about 15 to 60% as solids to form the concentrated toner which is then dispersed and diluted in a carrier solution, whereby the captioned liquid developer is obtained.
