PURPOSE: To enhance dispersion stability, fixability, and redispersibility and to form a high density image, by composing the title developer mainly with a specified graft polymer aqueous dispersion and a pigment or dye.
CONSTITUTION: A copolymer of a monomer of formula I and glycidyl (meth) acrylate or an unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride) is prepared. Then, this unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride) is esterified with OH of the glycidyl (meth) acrylate. A compound of formula II is graft polymerized with this esterified copolymer. A wax or the like of 60 to 130°C softening point is kneaded and dispersed in a carrying fluid of high insulation and low dielectric constant together with a pigment or a dye to form a condensed toner and an aqueous dispersion of the graft polymer is added to the above toner fluid to form a liquid developer.
