Abstract:
To solve a problem that a worker is influenced by a motor such as an induction electromotive force when manually moving a recording head, and therefore, it is difficult for the worker to manually move the recording head in some cases.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device includes: a discharge unit including a discharge nozzle capable of discharging liquid to a medium; a holding unit that holds the discharge unit and is movable in a predetermined direction; a movement mechanism for moving the holding unit in the predetermined direction; a rotary drive source that generates a drive force for moving the holding unit by the movement mechanism; a power supply line that supplies power to the rotary drive source; and a cutting off unit that cuts off the power supply line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
