PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of an impact position of a discharged liquid on an orthogonal direction.SOLUTION: An apparatus for discharging a liquid, which has plural liquid discharge head units and in which respective liquid discharge head units discharge a liquid to a transported object at different positions on a transportation path, comprises: a first support member which is provided on an upstream side with respect to an impact position at which the liquid discharged from the liquid discharge head unit impacts onto the transported object, and which is used for transportation of the transported object; a second support member which is provided on a downstream side with respect to the impact position, and is used for transportation of the transported object; a detection part which is located between the first support member and the second support member of the liquid discharge head unit, and outputs a detection result which indicates a position of the transported object in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the transported object is transported; and a move part which moves each liquid discharge head unit based on the detection result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
