Abstract:
To enable ideal parallel rolling to improve print quality by preventing occurrence of deformation and skew of a printing medium wound in a roll state.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises a conveyance part intermittently conveying a printing medium at a prescribed feed ratio, a rolling-up part rolling up the printing medium conveyed from the conveyance part, and a printing part printing out on the medium conveyed from the conveyance part. A rotation control part controls rotation of the rolling-up part in a rolling-up direction at prescribed timing after starting the intermittent conveyance of the medium by the conveyance part and then controls that rotation in a direction opposite to the rolling-up direction. Thereby, occurrence of deformation or skew on the medium wound in a roll state is restrained. Thus, ideal parallel rolling becomes possible to improve printing quality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
