Title:
LIQUID DROP AND DRIP PREVENTING DEVICE HAVING EXCELLENT APPEARANCE AND FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08152008
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the appearance and function of a device by a method wherein before liquid sags under its own weight in such a state that a surface tension is exerted on the liquid which is about to form in a spherical shape, the liquid is forcibly guided in a direction of a receiver.

CONSTITUTION: When liquid flows down to the lower side along a side, most of the liquid forms liquid drips on the under surface. When a receiver 2 is installed at a stage followed by the drop of the liquid, the liquid flows to the receiver 2 as if it is sucked. When a quantity of liquid is high to some extent, an effect is produced in such a way that rounding is formed or a surface is formed at a spot where liquid 3 is rolled in. Further, by applying a negative pressure on the inner side of the support 2, a further effect is produced. In the embodiment of, for example, a spindle head 11 and a saddle 10 on the cross rail of a large machine tool, since, in most of machines, the spindle head 11 overhangs the saddle 10, lubrication oil is recovered by mounting a dripping and sagging preventing device on the spindle head 11 and the saddle 1. As noted above, in a case of it being used in a machine, by mounting the receiver 2 during a machining work, even things of complicated shape can be simply manufactured and things of neat appearance can be inexpensively manufactured.
